REMINDER: Volunteers must have their trainings complete before coming back to help with kids in the classrooms and before going on field trips.
Volunteers need to first be FINGERPRINTED, then the district will send you the link.
If you are already fingerprinted, then the training can be accessed at THIS LINK. You will be routed to a google form, please watch the YouTube training video, review the district volunteer policy and print off the volunteer form and return it to the office.
Utah requires volunteers who work with minors or who may have unsupervised access to minors in a school setting, to receive YEARLY training. The training will cover abuse, suicide prevention, student safety, FERPA, ethics, and reporting requirements, mandated by various state codes like Utah Code 80-8-202 and Admin Rules (R277-316, R455-16-3).
We are asking that all of our current volunteers complete this training before they return to volunteer in the classroom. The entire training shouldn't take you more than 30 minutes. Once the training is complete, volunteers will be marked as cleared to volunteer for schools.
***If you don't have access to a computer or device, you can complete the training at the District Office or at the school where you volunteer during regular hours. If you have any questions or problems accessing the training, please reach out to Braylie Tullis at 435-586-2804 or braylie.tullis@ironmail.org

Understanding Title I
Title I is a federal education program designed to provide additional support and resources to help all students succeed academically. Through Title I funding, schools identify student and school needs, develop plans to address areas for improvement, and provide extra resources and support.
An important part of Title I is partnering with families. Parents and guardians have opportunities to be involved in their child’s education, learn about school programs, and access information about teacher qualifications. Title I funds are used to enhance—not replace—the resources already provided by state and local funding.
We value our partnership with families and appreciate your continued support in helping every student succeed!
Robyn Brown, Instructional Coach
North Elementary School

Running Club starts next week!
Running Club will begin next Wednesday and run through October 21st. We’ll meet at 3:30 PM every Wednesday, and students can run as many laps as they’d like before heading home! We’ll record each student’s laps throughout the program and celebrate their accomplishments at the end of October with a bracelet and a charm for each milestone they reach!
All students must be picked up by 4:30 PM at the very latest, though we anticipate most students being done running well before then.
We will need lots of parent volunteers to help make Running Club possible! If your child is wanting to participate, we would greatly appreciate your help whenever you’re available. You don’t need to commit to every week—even volunteering for a day or two would be a huge help!
Sign up here: https://forms.gle/5TQfhcds6h8rNXSc9 Please sign up by Monday if possible so we can be prepared for launch on Wednesday!
