The training will cover abuse, suicide prevention, student safety, FERPA, ethics, and reporting requirements, mandated by various state codes like Utah Code 80-8-202 and Admin Rules (R277-316, R455-16-3).
We are asking that all of our current volunteers complete this training before they return to volunteer in the classroom after the holiday break. The entire training shouldn't take you more than 30 minutes. Once the training is complete, volunteers will be marked as cleared to volunteer for schools.

You will then need to click "Enroll" and then click "Enroll in Course." Once you're in the course, complete the training by reading and viewing the information and clicking "Next." Earlier this week, we sent home letters with information about our upcoming Science Fair. All 3rd, 4th, and 5th grade students are required to complete a science project, and the fair will be held on January 22nd.
Starting Monday, display boards will be available in the front office at no cost. Please feel free to stop by and pick one up. You are welcome to buy your own as well.

Friday, November 21st is the last day to order North Elementary apparel. Get your orders in for the holidays! Orders will be delivered to your kids unless you specify in the notes section to hold it in the office. Orders will need to be picked up by Dec. 18th.

The Historic Downtown Lighting Ceremony will be held on Saturday, Nov 29th. If your child is interested in entering the coloring contest and a chance to win a helicopter flight with Santa, please pick up your coloring page in the North Elementary Office. You can drop off your coloring page at the Cedar City Visitor Center (581 N. Main Street) by November 22nd. This should be a fun event.
