State Bank of Southern Utah has offered to support our local elementary PTAs with an amazing campaign. During the month of September, they will donate 10 cents to Iron County PTAs each time a State Bank debit card is used at an Iron County business. The maximum donation is $9,000 split between our 9 elementaries. This can be up to $1,000 for your individual PTA! We are so grateful for State Bank's generosity.

Back to School Night at North Elementary is TONIGHT and is open house style. Come anytime from 5:30 - 7:30pm. Come visit with your teachers, see your classroom and come to the gymnasium to get cake pops and visit with the PTA as well as have help with the new enrollment system if needed. You can also buy the new North elementary t-shirts and get help with school forms.

Per the request of the City, the district has worked on supporting a switch in our parent valet and bus pick up. Unfortunately we will still be under construction at the start of the year, but are moving forward with this change for the first day of school. Please see the following link for a detailed plan of what pick up and drop off looks like. Police presence will be on campus supporting traffic flow the first week of school. Children need healthy meals to learn. Iron County School District offers healthy meals every school day. Breakfast costs $1.75; lunch costs (K-5) $2.75, (6-12) $3.00. Your children may qualify for free meals or for reduced price meals. Reduced price is $.30 for breakfast and $0.00 for lunch for the 25-26 school year. Join Iron County School District for a patriotic concert on Friday, July 4. Two performances are scheduled at Canyon View High School at 2 p.m. and 4 p.m. This Country features familiar music from Aaron Tippin, Brad Paisley, Randy Travis, Blake Shelton, Brooks and Dunn and Toby Keith. On the guitar and lead vocals is Superintendent Dr. Lance Hatch. He will be joined by Cole Stanley, CVHS Student, on lead guitar; Ellis Lambeth, CVHS student, on drums; Freya Carlson, a paraprofessional at East Elementary, on bass; Holly Thornton, Post High teacher on the fiddle and Jacob Chipman, CVMS choir teacher on piano/vocals.
North Field Day is tomorrow, Wednesday, May 21st. Final races start at 9:00 with activities starting right after the races.
Kindergarten finishes field day at 11:15. K-5th grades finish at 1:00 pm.
Each grade level is assigned a color to wear if possible:
Kindergarten - Gray
First grade - Blue
Second grade - Yellow
Third grade - White
Fourth grade - Green
Fifth grade - Red
Shade will be limited. Students may wear hats. Please sunscreen your child before school. Wilson Orthodontics has donated water bottles for each student. There will be water stations where they can be refilled.
This is just a reminder for anyone who has a senior graduating this year (class of 2025). We will be hosting our first ever "Senior Parade" for the graduating seniors who attended North Elementary. This will be the first class graduating from the new school. The seniors will be marching through our halls as our school celebrates them, tomorrow (Wednesday, 21st) @ 3:00. Please have them meet in the foyer in their cap and gown a few minutes early. Congratulations to our past polar bears! Feel free to share the flyer to anyone you know who has a senior that attended our school.
