A note from the school nurse: Studies are finding that increased screen time has caused the shape of the eyeball to change resulting in an increase in Myopia (nearsightedness, or when objects are far away they appear blurred) in your children and worsening as children get older. Here's an image that references the best ways to avoid the elongation of the eye and therefore decrease/reverse the incidents of Myopia.

The Cedar Reds are hosting their youth baseball clinic on Saturday April 6:

This is a reminder about kindergarten registration today from 12:30-3:00 pm. New this year, is an immunization clinic and a car seat education station. Hope to see you there!

Remind for parents "SUU STEM Center Homework Help ends after April 18th! Come anytime to the Cedar City Public Library Monday/Wednesday 3:30-5 pm or Tuesday/Thursday 6-8 pm. Online is also available at https://www.suu.edu/stem/tutoring.html . All services offered are FREE of charge. If you need help with any classes, get there while you still can!"

Just a reminder that teachers will be involved in professional development for the rest of the week. There will be no school for students March 13, 14 and 15 (Wednesday-Friday). District offices will be open regular hours Wednesday and from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. Thursday and Friday.

Remember to read and mark it on your Kite Flight chart! Bring your completed reading chart to the Kite Flight Health Fair on April 20th at Cedar Middle School for prizes. Each submitted chart earns money for our school!! So keep reading and marking.
